About the Author

Storyteller at Heart

I've been fortunate enough to work in the IT field at Fortune 500 companies for over 30 years as a senior engineer and in management. I am currently the Vice President of IT Transformation and Innovation at Assurant, Inc. I have been afforded the opportunity to speak at conferences and publish articles on the use of Artificial Intelligence and related topics. I hold a B.S. in Computer Science from Florida International University (FIU) and an M.S. in Information Technology from FIU. I'm also an Adjunct Professor at FIU teaching IT related topics. I've authored several fiction books with my Cybercrime series being the latest and one textbook (Enterprise IT Troubleshooting) which is used for a course that a colleague and I created for the the state of Florida. Married with three children, I have participated in Scouting for many years enjoying the outdoors with my children.

Even as a young child I was always conjuring up stories and filling them with colorful characters, but I was too shy to share my stories.  As I grew older and successful as an Computer Systems Engineer and then IT Executive, I finally garnered the courage to start sharing my stories.  I have now been refining my writing ability for over 20 years and have finally reached a point where I am proud enough of my creations to share them with the public.  I’ve progressed quite a bit to formulating longer and more complex stories and sharing them with much larger audiences. While my writing style is simple and straightforward, I consider myself a true storyteller, adept at using my imaginative thinking and creative flair to bring my stories to life in engaging and entertaining ways.
